Epson has added to their professional photo printer range with the Stylus Pro 7900 and 9900, both of which use their new UltraChrome HDR ink, which they claim will produce improved color blends and transitions. The 7900 and 9900 are priced at $3995 and $5995 respectively, and will be available in November.
Both the Stylus 7900 and 9900 print at a maximum resolution of 2800 by 1440 dots per inch with a droplet size of 3.5 picoliters, and include (more…)

Epson’s mid range all-in-one machines attract a lot of loyalty from customers as being good, robust workhorses. This latest Stylus SX515W machine builds on the success of earlier, similar models and adds in the increasingly popular wireless connection to its feature set.

- Epson America has introduced a new flagship line of premium Ink Jet all-in-one printers: the Artisan range. Two models have been announced in the new line; the $199.99 Artisan 700 and the $299.99 Artisan 800. Both models offer standalone printing, one-touch copying, as well as scan and fax capabilities.
The Artisan line will use Epson’s new Ultra Hi-Definition Claria ink system, which Epson claims will last for 200 years if properly stored. This (more…)

The laser printer business is a strange old world. There are plenty of printer makers and plenty of makers who reuse other makers’ print engines or sometimes whole machines, rebadged and with different firmware and print description languages. Under its skin, the AcuLaser M2000DN looks suspiciously like the

- Epson today announced the WorkForce 310, a low-cost all-in-one printer, fax and scanner for small and home offices that includes an Ethernet connection so it can be used by multiple users. The WorkForce 310 will be available in June with an estimated street price of $130, and includes inkjet printer, scanner, copier and fax features.

If you n eed an all-in-one print er, but have limited reso urces, there’s still quite a wide c hoice of machines at the entry-level. Epson’s St ylus SX100 is a shiny black and grey model, offering basic facilitie s at a mod est price.
